Dual shell coupling elements protect the roll from dirt and moisture. Sealed and inexpensive coupling element enables the roll to be used in damp locations.
Direct drive solutions
Finbow’s direct drive solution utilises a standard electric engine, the force of which is transmitted to the roll via an axle. The quality of the final product is top-notch thanks to the motor’s precise speed control and the low maintenance requirement enables low operating costs.
In the Randax® direct drive solution, the motor is pre-installed on the roll, and it fits in tight spaces without separate platform solutions.

Moisture management
The Finbow moisture control eliminates the moisture inside the roll, which increases the lifecycle of the roll and ensures a more reliable operation of the roll. The method is primarily applicable for rolls operating in wet conditions.

Locking pedestal
The patented Finbow locking pedestal is an excellent choice for situations in which the paper machine’s speed range will change from the original.
With our solution, it is possible to drive the roll faster for a longer time than with the original. A locking pedestal can help, for example, to shift the roll’s critical speeds away from the paper type’s drive speed path by changing the roll’s attributes.
